Strategic Flexibility and Its Impact on Crisis Management An Analytical Study of the Opinions of a Sample of Decision-Makers in Private Colleges and Universities

This study aimed to examine the impact of strategic flexibility on crisis management in private universities and colleges. The study sample consisted of 141 employees working in private universities and colleges in Iraq. Data analysis was conducted using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) to describe and diagnose the study variables and their dimensions. The study reached several conclusions, the most important of which is the existence of a correlation between strategic flexibility and crisis management in private universities and colleges in Iraq. Specifically, there is a positive impact of information flexibility, human capital flexibility, marketing flexibility, competitive flexibility, and organizational structure flexibility on crisis management in these institutions. The study recommended the necessity of reviewing the significance of strategic flexibility in the operation of private universities and colleges in Iraq, given its clear and substantial influence on crisis management. Additionally, it emphasized the importance of a clear understanding and strong commitment from top management to implement all dimensions of environmental sensing strategies to enhance institutional performance.
